This project was supported by a local government subsidy program in Shinjuku, Tokyo. A long-established acupuncture clinic, operating for over 10 years, faced a sharp decline in foot traffic after relocating within the Yamanote Line area.

Upon analysis, we found that the clinic’s new location — despite being in central Tokyo — was on a steep hill about 10 minutes from the nearest station, making it less accessible for its core customer base: elderly patients.

Recognizing the shift in local demographics, we redefined the target audience. Instead of senior citizens, we focused on working professionals with chronic jaw-related issues — an area in which the clinic had proven expertise.

Our support included competitor benchmarking, a complete website revision, extensive keyword research, and implementation of both local SEO and Google Business Profile (MEO) optimization. As a result, the clinic began attracting a niche audience: professionals from across the city suffering from TMJ disorders that had not responded to conventional treatments.
